Harini

Harini is a sweet and beautiful little girl who is staying in our Champion Home along with her two elder sisters.

Harini’s mother is a single parent who is now suffering from tuberculosis and is currently hospitalized. Because of her serious illness, she is unable to care for her children. During this difficult time, Harini and her sisters were staying with their grandparents.

However, the grandparents are elderly and already burdened with the pain of seeing their daughter sick. Due to their age and the many challenges they face, it became very difficult for them to take care of the three young girls and support their education.

With a heavy heart but with hope for a better future for their grandchildren, the grandparents reached out to us through our volunteers and shared their painful situation.

Moved with compassion, we welcomed Harini and her two sisters into our Champion Home so they could grow up in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment.

Harini is a bright and cheerful child who is doing very well in her studies. Despite the hardships she has faced at such a young age, she carries a beautiful dream in her heart. One day, she hopes to become a doctor so that she can help people who are suffering, just like her mother.

Harini loves singing, and her favourite song is:

“Lord, You knew me before I was formed in my mother’s womb.”

Her life reminds us that even in the middle of pain and uncertainty, God has a wonderful plan for every child.
