Rathiya

Rathiya is a soft-natured and gentle young girl. Today, she is staying in our Champion Home along with her two sisters.

Rathiya’s mother, a single parent, is currently battling tuberculosis and remains hospitalized. Due to her serious condition, she is unable to care for her children. In this painful season, Rathiya and her sisters were left in the care of their elderly grandparents.

The grandparents, already heartbroken seeing their daughter suffer, struggled deeply to care for the three young girls. With their age, limited strength, and many challenges, providing for the children’s daily needs and education became overwhelming.

With heavy hearts but hope for a better future, they reached out to us through our volunteers and shared their situation. Moved with compassion, we welcomed Rathiya and her sisters into our Champion Home—so they could grow in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment.

Despite all she has gone through, Rathiya continues to shine brightly. She is an outstanding student, and English is her favourite subject. She holds onto a beautiful dream of becoming an administrative officer one day, desiring to make a difference in the lives of others.

Her strength comes from her faith. Her favourite Bible verse, Joshua 1:9, reminds her daily:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
